LA REPUBBLICA CECA VINCE PER 3-1 LO “SPAREGGIO” CON LA CINA

Davanti ad un palasport Ruffini pieno, a conferma della grande passione dei torinesi per la pallavolo (e contemporaneamente gli ex campioni della Klippan Cus Torino festeggiavano in un vicino locale i 30 anni dal primo successo di una squadra italiana in Coppa dei Campioni), la Repubblica Ceca ipoteca la qualificazione alla seconda fase battendo la Rep. Cinese per 3-1 (25-21, 19-25, 25-18, 25-22), con gli asiatici ora obbligati a battere domani la Francia per sperare di non essere eliminati.Per il match che può valere la qualificazione il coach cinese Zhou cambia per il cinquanta per cento il sestetto sconfitto nella prima partita dalla Bulgaria inserendo Yuan al posto di Shen, Cui per Chen e Jiao, in regia, per Li, mentre nella formazione iniziale ceca il solo Popelka rileva capitan Hudecek. La scelta dell’allenatore Svoboda si rivela felice in quanto è proprio Popelka, insieme a Platenik (6 punti a testa nel primo set), a mettere in difficoltà muro e difesa cinese ed a porre così le basi per il successo dei cechi nel primo parziale.La squadra cinese non ci sta e piano piano trova le contromisure, trascinata da Yuan che, ai sei attacchi vincenti della prima frazione, ne aggiunge altri otto nella seconda, dove offensivamente viene ben supportato da Zhong (5 punti). Ma è tutto il sestetto a mostrare maggiore precisione e a sfruttare al meglio il momento non eccezionale di Stokr, che Svoboda finisce per sostituire con Konecny completando il cambio della diagonale con l’inserimento di Zapletal in regia. La Rep. Cinese costruito comunque un vantaggio di sei punti (dal 14-13 al 19-13) respinge ogni velleità di rimonta e pareggia il conto dei set.La terza frazione vede la Rep. Ceca costruire con regolarità un vantaggio che, a metà set, sarà già difficilmente rimontabile (16-8): Popelka contribuisce con sei punti alla costruzione del vantaggio mentre tra gli asiatici cala il rendimento di Yuan, che verrà poi sostituito, e Zhong viene cercato con regolarità dalle battute avversarie, limitandone così le possibilità in attacco. E consolidato il vantaggio la squadra di Svoboda lo amministra in pratica con il vecchio “cambio palla” portandosi così sul 2-1.Il quarto set resta in equilibrio  fino a quota 8, poi sono i cinesi a sfruttare al meglio qualche errore di troppo, sia offensivo sia difensivo, degli avversari ed a costruirsi un importante vantaggio (12-9, poi 17-13). Sul 18-14 tre punti consecutivi riavvicinano i cechi: si arriva così al 21-19 per gli asiatici quando Platenik fora il muro avversario riconquistando il servizio. In battuta va Konecny ed è ancora Platenik a farsi murare fuori sul contrattacco ottenendo così la parità a 21. Inutile a questo punto il time-out richiesto da Zhou: gli europei ottengono altri tre punti (due su errori avversari) e chiudono la partita al secondo match-ball grazie ad un velleitario tentativo di Cui finito in rete.Platenik (23 punti) e Popelka (20) sono stati i più efficaci attaccanti cecki, mentre tra i cinesi top-score è stato Yuan (16 punti), sosituito a metà del terzo set eppoi solo per pochi attimi in campo nel quarto.

CZECH REPUBLIC WIN OVER CHINA WITH A THRILLING 3-1
Turin, Italy, September 26, 2010 ñ Second day competitions opens with a Czech Republic victory over China at Palasport Ruffini on Sunday with a 25-21, 19-25, 25-18, 25-22. Both teams was defeated yesterday in their first FIVB Menís World Championship matches respectively by France and Bulgaria, so this result represents an important step for Czechs to advance to the second round.
Team roaster of both teams were modified in comparison with yesterdayís ones. Czech Jiri Popelka substituted yesterdayís captain Ondrej Hudecek, being the second best scorer with 20 points. Chinese coach Jianan Zhou chose to play with Zhi Yuan, Jianjun Cui and Shuai Jiao in substitution of Qiong Shen, Ping Chen and Runming Li respectively. Czechís Peter Platenik scored a match-high 23 points, Chinese best scorer was Yuan with 16 points.In the first set both teams seemed to be self-confident in the match, that since the beginning was very balanced. At the first technical timeout Czechs were leading 8-6 and even if China was very close, Chinese team couldnít recover despite of great attack performance by Yuan (7 points in the set). Czechs won 25-21.Set two was very tight and rich of serving errors especially from Czech side. On 12-12 scoring, a bad serve by Popelka (over 10 m after back boundary line) was underlined by a whistling crowd and gave a special determination to China, that took advantage leading 16-13 at the second TTO. Entire set showed two gritty teams with a big will in recover impossible balls, but Chinese Yuan with 7 points in attack drove his teammates taking the lead up to 6 points over Czechs until the end of the set (25-19).On the 1-1 set scoring, set three began with a concentrated Czech team showing a very good receiving and high attacking performances (6 points scored by Popelka) and the Czech advantage at first TTO (8-6) increased up to 8 points (16-8) at the second one. Popelka spikes and Jacub Vesely quick hits gave a hard stroke to Chinese, that seemed to be a different team in comparison with the one winners of the previous set. Another Chinese serving error on 24-17 offered Czechs to get closer to the victory.It was again a different China that played in the fourth set, probably the most exiting one for both opposing fan. China was always leading the set (8-7 at first TTO, 16-13 at the second one) but Czechs put all their efforts and trusted till the end on every balls in their court, reaching Chinese team on 21-21 thanks to two important spikes by Platenik.With a very big support by their fan and with a clapping crowd happy for being spectators of a very thrilling match, Czech won the match joining France and Bulgaria in pool E awaiting for this evening match.

TRA FRANCIA E BULGARIA UN MATCH INDIMENTICABILE CHE PREMIA I TRANSALPINI Grandissima pallavolo nella gara serata della seconda giornata per il pubblico che riempie ogni angolo del Ruffini, con la Francia che si assicura la qualificazione alla seconda fase ed ipoteca il primo posto del girone E battendo la Bulgaria per 3-2 (25-22, 23-25, 25-17, 28-30, 19-17) dopo 2 ore e 11 minuti.E’ stata una partita a tratti anche molto bella con la sfida nella sfida tra Rouzier (26 punti) che ha trovato validissimo sostegno in Ngapeth (24) da una parte e Kaziyski (anche lui 26 punti) sostenuto da Vladi Nikolov (23) dall’altra. Protagonisti anche i muri per le moltissime palle comunque toccate e quelle sa punto (20 a 15 per la Bulgaria).Stessi sestetti iniziali della prima giornata per Francia e Bulgaria: primo vantaggio per i transalpini (4-1) che però poi lasciano tre punti di fila ai bulgari. La parità regge, punto a punto, fino a quota 8. Poi la squadra di Blain piazza, soprattutto grazie ad Antiga e Rouzier, un parziale di 5-1 e arriva al secondo time-out tecnico con la Francia avanti 16-12. Gli uomini di Prandi, galvanizzati anche da un fantastico ed applauditissimo salvataggio di piede, in rovesciata, di Zhekov rimontano ed a quota 17 le squadre sono nuovamente in parità. Curiosamente a questo punto per i bulgari sembra spegnersi nuovamente la luce e la Francia si riporta avanti (21-17) e riesce a concludere così vittoriosamente un set in cui, non solo a muro, si è fatto ben valere Kieffer (6 punti).Il secondo set procede a sprazzi, con i bulgari per lo più avanti a dilapidare il vantaggio appena questo arriva a tre punti. La Francia fatica particolarmente quando Rouzier, al quale si affida molto spesso, cozza contro il muro avversario (ben 5 quelli vincenti). Apprezzabili e decisivi alcuni interventi del libero bulgaro Salparov. Nel finale, dopo essere andati sotto (22-23) prima pareggiano con Aleksiev, quindi sfruttano un errore di Ngapeth, peraltro subentrato positivamente a Marechal, per poi chiudere con un perentorio muro a tre.L’equilibrio della terza frazione dura fino a quota 14. Poi si risveglia Rouzier, dopo un lungo periodo opaco, e per la Bulgaria sono dolori. Un parziale di 6-0 lancia i francesi verso un meritato 2-1, con la squadra di Prandi che, ancora una volta, sembra perdere il filo della partita e patisce oltremodo Rouzier (7 punti per lui) non solo come attaccante, ma anche come muro.Nella quarta frazione la Bulgaria riparte con il diciottenne Penchev al posto di Aleksiev e la squadra di Prandi mostra subito di voler arrivare almeno al quinto set. Sempre avanti, sembra fatta quando riesce ad accumulare prima quattro punti (13-9) quindi sei (20-14) di vantaggio. E invece la Francia infila cinque punti di seguito, si riavvicina e sotto 21-23 riesce a portarsi addirittura avanti 24-23. I francesi mancano tre set-ball, prima che la situazione si ribalti con i bulgari che alla fine si impongono con due conclusioni di Kaziyski.Nel quinto set si procede punto a punto, con anche qualche polemica da parte di entrambi gli allenatori per situazioni contestate. La sfida si chiude al primo match-ball a favore della Francia, procurato da Rouzier, con Kaziyski che spedisce poi di pochi centimetri oltre la riga di fondo, dopo che i transalpini avevano annullato quattro palle della vittoria ai bulgari.

FRANCE WIN A 3-2 MARATHON AND TAKES THE LEAD OF POOL E
Turin, Italy, September 26, 2010 ñ The most expected match between the two ahead teams of Pool E, France and Bulgaria, finish with a very important result for French team, that take the lead of the Pool, winning the battle with a 25-22, 23-25, 25-17, 28-30, 19-17 on Sunday.Sold out at Palasport Ruffini, full of French and Bulgarian fans supporting their favourite teams and same team rosters for both teams at the beginning of the match.Same best scoring of 26 points for the stars of the match: French Antonin Rouzier and Bulgarian Matey Kaziysky. Rouzierís teammate, Earvin Ngapeth, scored 24 points.
During first part of set one two teams alternated strong servings, fast and impressive spikes and blocks. At the first technical timeout France was leading 8-7, and after some receiving difficulties for Bulgarians, France reached 11-8, obliging opposing coach to call for a time out. Set went on with France leading with up to four points and second TTO arrived with 16-12 score. Andrey Zekhov recovered an impossible ball using his feet and Bulgaria closed the point finding the confidence to score some points reaching the 17-17. But a French block and a powerful serve by Nicolas Marechal made France take again some advantage points that Bulgaria couldnít recover again. Set finished with a 25-22.
Set two began with an exceptional receiving by Bulgarian libero player Teodor Salparov that exalted teammates and fans and Bulgaria was leading 8-4 at the first TTO. French team found it difficult to pass through Bulgarians block but, thanks to a moment of confusion for Bulgarians, blue weared team reached 10-10 score. Set went on without the possibility for two teams to take a significant advantage, and at the second TTO Bulgaria was leading 16-14. On 18-18 a serving error by France setter Pierre Pujol gave possibility to Bulgarian team to have two points advantage, but team coached by Silvano Prandi couldnít save these points and an impressive French block carried France leading 23-22. It was a very tight set final, at the end Bulgarian didnít lose to take advantage on their first set point and with a 3-block they won the second set with a 25-23.
First points of third set were equally distributed between two teams and at first TTO France was leading 8-7. Three alternated serving errors didnít create a gap in the set score, but with a spike by France opposite hitter Rouzier and an attacking error by Bulgarian Todor Aleksiev, at the second TTO France was leading for 16-14. The balance between two teams vanished and France increased their advantage up to seven points (22-15) with efficient spikes and blocks performed by Rouzier (7 points in the set). Fourth set started with a more incisive Bulgaria and with some French errors in serving and attacking. Bulgaria kept for a long time an advantage of two points at least, showing spectacular attacks by Kaziyski from different zones of the court. Second TTO showed a 16-11 scoring, and it seemed that France couldnít reach anymore Bulgaria, but with some bad receiving of the youngest player of Bulgaria, Nikolay Penchev (18 years old) and performing French attacks teams faced at 21-21. A winning spike by captain Nikolov and an ace by Kaziyski gave two points advantage to Bulgaria, but France didnít keep off and with an impressive block on Penchev played its first match ball. On the second and third match balls France lose again the opportunity to close the match and Bulgaria finally gained this infinite set at their second set ball with a 30-28 score.   At the beginning of last set teams seemed to be very tired, alternating serving and receiving errors.The set proceeded point by point in total balance, and France was leading 8-7 when they changed court side. The battle went on alternating Kaziysky and Rouzier spikes, and a timeout was requested by French coach Philippe Blain while Bulgarian team was leading 12-11. Marechal had a serving error giving to Bulgaria the chance to close the match but they lose the point. Immediately after, another serving error by Rouzier gave the second possibility to Prandiís team, failed again. At the fourth match ball Bulgaria had a serving error and on 18-17 France definitely won the marathon helped by a Kaziysky attack error.
